TL;DR
Wealthy Affiliate Update is aiming to launch its completely rebuilt platform around October 1, 2026.
Ace, its new AI business assistant, has understandably received a lot of attention. But after following the previews over the past few months, I don’t think AI itself is the biggest change.
The more interesting shift is personalisation.
Instead of everyone entering the same platform, following the same training and navigating the same collection of tools, the new WA is being designed around a different question:
What are you actually trying to build, and what do you need next?
As someone who has used Wealthy Affiliate for years, that feels like a much bigger change than simply adding another AI tool.

At First, I Thought Ace Was the Big Story
I’ve been following the development of the new Wealthy Affiliate for a while now.
Early on, much of my attention went to Ace.
That’s understandable.
Ace is the new AI assistant being integrated throughout the platform. It will help with research, planning, content, learning and eventually much more.
But the more Wealthy Affiliate has revealed, the less I think Ace is actually the main story.
The latest full walkthrough made that particularly clear.
This isn’t really Wealthy Affiliate plus AI.
WA appears to be rethinking how a member moves through the entire platform.
And I think that distinction matters.
The Current Wealthy Affiliate Has A Lot Going On
One of Wealthy Affiliate’s strengths has always been how much sits inside one membership.
Training.
Website hosting.
Research.
Content tools.
Community.
Live chat.
Domains.
Affiliate tools.
And increasingly, AI.
But there’s an obvious downside to continually adding things.
Eventually, you have to find them all.
I’ve been a member long enough that I generally know where everything lives. Even then, the existing navigation has accumulated a lot over the years.
For someone arriving for the first time, that’s another matter entirely.
Interestingly, Wealthy Affiliate isn’t pretending otherwise.
Kyle has acknowledged during the previews that WA has sometimes added complexity in the past. The rebuild isn’t simply modernising the old menu.
They’re pulling it apart.
The New Starting Point Is Your Business
This is where I think the rebuild gets interesting.
The new Wealthy Affiliate revolves much more heavily around Hubs.
A Hub becomes the headquarters for a particular business.
But that business doesn’t necessarily mean:
I have a niche website.
It might involve a website.
It could also involve YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram or another channel.
It could be affiliate marketing.
It could be ecommerce.
It could be an existing local business trying to build an online presence.
The environment surrounding that Hub can then reflect what you’re actually building.
That’s quite different from giving everyone the same collection of tools and asking them to work out which ones matter.
Even the Training Is Being Rethought
This might be the biggest departure from the Wealthy Affiliate I’ve known.
Historically, WA’s Core Training has provided a structured path through building an online business.
There’s still value in those fundamentals.
Someone building their first website still needs to understand domains, WordPress, content and monetisation.
The problem is that the same sequence becomes less useful when the people taking it have completely different experience levels and goals.
I certainly wouldn’t want to sit through beginner WordPress training every time I created another website.
Likewise, someone wanting to build primarily through YouTube doesn’t necessarily need exactly the same path as someone building a traditional affiliate site.
The new Learn environment is intended to adapt to that.
Learn what you need, when it becomes relevant to what you’re building.
That’s a fundamentally different approach to online education.
Whether it works well is another question.
But I understand the problem it’s trying to solve.
This Is Where Ace Starts to Make More Sense
Seen in isolation, Ace could easily sound like another AI chatbot.
Inside this structure, its role becomes clearer.
Ace is intended to understand the Hub, what you’re building, what you’ve already done and what you’re currently trying to accomplish.
Then it can potentially connect the different parts.
Your business needs something.
You need to learn something to accomplish it.
You learn it.
You build it.
You move on.
That’s much more interesting to me than:
Ask AI to write an article.
I already have plenty of ways to do that.
WA Seems to Be Building an Operating Environment
I keep coming back to this description.
The old Wealthy Affiliate has largely been somewhere I can learn how to build an online business and access tools that help me do it.
The new version seems to be aiming for something closer to:
an environment where I can actually operate that business.
The emerging structure makes more sense when I look at it that way.
Your Hub represents what you’re building.
Learn helps with what you need to understand.
The new Library — assuming that name survives development — is where things are created.
Your websites and other channels are where the business operates.
Ace provides the contextual AI layer connecting them.
And the community and Live Chat remain the human layer around it.
That’s a much more coherent picture than simply saying Wealthy Affiliate is getting an AI upgrade.
And Eventually, More May Happen Without Leaving WA
There’s another part of this I’m watching closely.
Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t only want to help create things.
The longer-term goal is increasingly to connect the places where they’re published.
For example, WA is working on social publishing integrations so content could eventually be created, approved and scheduled without needing another tool in between.
Kyle has been careful not to promise that every connector will be ready at launch.
That’s an important caveat.
I’m certainly not cancelling any subscriptions yet.
But I understand the direction.
The fewer times I need to copy something from Tool A, paste it into Tool B and then schedule it through Tool C, the more useful the central environment becomes.
There’s Still a Human Layer
I’m also pleased that WA isn’t using AI as an excuse to remove the community.
Live Chat remains.
Community remains.
And Ace isn’t compulsory.
That’s important to me because one of the things I’ve always valued about Wealthy Affiliate is that there are actual people behind all those websites and businesses.
AI can make building faster.
It can’t give me somebody else’s genuine experience.
In fact, as creating generic content gets easier, I suspect real experience becomes even more important.
That’s true inside WA.
It’s also true of the article you’re reading now.
So Is This a Better Wealthy Affiliate?
I don’t know yet.
And I don’t think a preview video can answer that.
The ambition is clear.
The interface looks considerably cleaner from what we’ve been shown.
I like the philosophy behind personalising the environment around the member rather than continually adding more things to a giant menu.
But there are plenty of questions that only using it will answer.
Does it genuinely feel simpler?
Does Ace understand enough context to be useful?
Is personalised learning actually better than having a fixed path?
How much of the broader vision will be there on launch day?
And how quickly will the rough edges of a completely rebuilt platform become apparent?
Fortunately, we shouldn’t have long to wait.
Wealthy Affiliate is currently aiming for October 1, 2026, although development is still underway.
I’ll be going into it with businesses that already exist and, separately, starting fresh so I can see the experience from both sides.
Because after all the previews, I think that’s the real test.
Not how impressive the AI looks in a demonstration.
Whether the new Wealthy Affiliate actually makes it easier to work out what matters — and then get it done.
